I constructed this 2 ft wide, 12 foot long ramp to load a 600 lb Steinway piano onto the back of my Ford Ranger pickup. The ramp consists of 3 new 12 ft 2x6s overlaid with T-111 fir siding. The ramp didn't flex at all while moving the piano into the bed, so I suspect it is capable of supporting much more than 600 lbs. The ramp comes with steel handles for tie-down or to help move it around.
