Seven chairs. The 40/4 chairs were designed by David Rowland in 1964, manufactured by Howe USA. This chair has been praised as one of the most ingenious modern designs of the 20th century, and is one of the most comfortable chairs ever for a prolonged sit . Each chair has a solid steel base and a plywood seat. The chairs are sold as a set for $1155.
Each chair measures 21 inches in length, 19 inches in width, and 30 inches tall. The seat height is 18 inches.
