The Department of Water Resource's North Central Region Office is seeking a self-motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic individual to fill a critical position as a Junior Engineer Technician. The successful candidate will help install, operate, monitor, and maintain water monitoring stations located throughout the North Central region of California. This individual will also collect samples and hydrologic data from remote stations located on the waters of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Sacramento River, Feather River, local streams, and other aquatic environments within the region. The incumbent will also assist in conducting stream flow measurements requiring access by boat or the use of remote-controlled watercraft, depending on the conditions. Collected data informs a variety of Department needs including flood control, water quality modeling, and other scientific studies.
