He is around 8 years old.
He is the kind of horse that turns different shades, depending on the time of year.
From Grulla to bay to dark chestnut.
He’s a beauty for sure that is currently a little “fluffy” due to no exercise.
Joe is a simple guy just needing to be trained.
Joe was started as a youngster, but has been a pasture puff the last few years, since his owner moved to Oregon, so he is selling as a project.
Although he was started a few years back, you will need to go back to the basics with him.
He needs to be restarted with someone who is willing to take the time to make him into something amazing.
He has a kind eye and wants to please.
Joe can be nervous around new people and takes time to warm up to you.
Trust is definitely earned, not just given with this guy.
Once bonded, he will try his hardest to do anything asked of him.
He is a very responsive horse and learns fast.
If you have soft hands and a gentle voice, he responds great.
If you are heavy handed and loud, he will most likely not be the right fit for you.
He is an easy keeper, even in winter.
Feet keep perfect out on pasture.
Loads great.
Trailers with no fuss.
Bathes.
Ties.
Etc.
Joe is a very healthy and happy horse with no know soundness or medical issues.
But he’s too nice to continue just being a pasture puff.
He has been sitting out in pasture for too long.
So bringing him in to see if someone wants to put him to good use before owner puts him into training and increases his price.
Come meet Joe and play with him in the round pen to see if he is the project you can’t wait to get to.
Joe is being sold as grade, as there are NO known registration papers for him.
She is asking a modest $4000 for Joe.
