The chicks include porcelain and partridge silkies with a 50 percent chance of frizzling. They will require a heat lamp or heat pad for at least 2 months. They will go down by 5 degrees each week in their need for heat until they should be fine without it. The chicks eat chick feed until they reach their full size at 5 months.
I use mylar self heating cat beds with towels on top of them for chicks that are ready to sleep outdoors at night to assist with remaining warm. The chicks can placed placed outdoors at night at 4 months. They will lay eggs at 6 months
They should be fed medicated chick feed for at least 1 to 1.5 months while outside (not for too long or it could cause neurological issues). You can switch to grower feed without calcium at 3 months, as layer feed will damage chicks' kidneys if fed too early in life. Layer feed will be necessary for the hens to lay eggs at 6 months.
Chicks and chickens will be picked up from my home. I have a 3-chick minimum.
