Vintage CorningWare Wildflower - Set of 6. SOLD AS SET - WILL NOT SEPARATE!
Pyroceram, a glass-ceramic heated material was originally developed by Corning in the 1950's to be used in rocket nose cones. Further development to kitchen products resulted in CorningWare cookware, which made its debut in 1958. It was hailed as a new space-age cookware material virtually impervious to temperature extremes. Originally targeted toward working women who wanted to cook, set an attractive table, and get out of the kitchen fast — with as little clean up as possible, this durable break and chip resistant glass cookware and bakeware is as relevant today as it was 50 years ago. Safe for use in the microwave, broiler, oven, stovetop, refrigerator, freezer and as a beautiful tabletop serving dish.
Wildflower pattern, also known as Spring Bouquet. The Wildflower pattern features bright red poppies, dainty blue flowers, yellow daisies and other wild flowers, evoking the feel of a warm, sunshine-filled day.
Microwave, oven and dishwasher safe, this retired collection coordinated with Corelle Wildflower dinnerware.
The CorningWare Wildflower bakeware pattern was produced from 1977 to 1985. All of these CorningWare pieces have the 2nd embossed stamp. As the 2nd embossed stamp was used from 1985 through 1999, that means all of these pieces were made in 1985.
No chips or cracks unless otherwise noted. May have minor signs of use, but overall, excellent vintage condition!
