This alarm is easily set using the left hand to press the upper button (time) at the rear while looking at the clock face and pressing the top left button for hour and the top right button for minute.
Setting the time in the AM requires the hour to be between 1 through 11 (to get 12 AM you have to press hour 12 more times).
After the 11 the 12 in PM and the upper left light means PM.

Press the lower button at the back for Alarm and follow the instructions above.
