Taylor-Dunn cart made in 2011. Dual Bluetooth 100Ah 48v Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries were installed last year, bringing the capacity up to 21kWh or about triple the stock lead acid. You could probably drive this all week without charging. Shortly after installing the new batteries the motor failed due to a defect in the brush holder so there's only a couple hours on the new batteries. Brand new motor is installed. Seats 4, but the rear seats fold down to give way for more bed space. Proceeds go to benefit Sacramento Mandarins Drum Corps https://www.mandarins.org/
Pros:
- New LiFe batteries rated for >3000 cycles, about 10x as long as the factory flooded lead acid cells
- Brand new Taylor-Dunn 10hp series wound motor
- New LED headlights and tail lights
- Charger has been reprogrammed for lithium batteries. I suspect the hour meter was reset at this time.
- Load capacity of 2400 POUNDS wow
- 2-4 seats allows it to be a people mover or a cargo hauler
- Tires in great shape
- Added DC-DC convertor to run lights
- Added step up converter to jump start batteries when fully dead
Cons:
- Paint peeling in some places
- Front seats are a little sun damaged, but are still serviceable
- I don't know how long it's been since it's had serious maintenance. For an extra fee, I will service the brakes and axle fluid and rotate the tires.
Cart weighs almost 2000lbs. You will not be able to move this in the back of a pickup truck, it needs to be hauled on a dedicated trailer. I can deliver for a fee.
