Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and bilingual (Spanish/English) Plant Manager for our chicken business, and lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee production processes, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic plant environment. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The Plant Manager will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing efficiency, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining supply chain excellence.
Possible annual bonus of $10k for the next 2 years based on performance of plant.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all aspects of plant operations, including production management, quality control, and supply chain activities.
Develop and execute production planning strategies utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and MRP to meet customer demands efficiently.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality through lean manufacturing methodologies.
Manage supply chain analytics and oversee supply chain management to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Implement process improvements and operational best practices to optimize manufacturing workflows.
Supervise, motivate, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality standards, safety metrics, and operational costs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Collaborate with engineering teams on mechanical maintenance, assembly processes, and equipment upgrades to maximize productivity.
Utilize ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and reporting purposes.
Experience
Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing setting.
Windows data management and use
Daily Order Management
Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, process improvement, and continuous improvement strategies.
Background in plant management with a focus on operations management, quality control, and supply chain management.
Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes is preferred but not required.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate across diverse teams. Including with USDA.
