## Responsibilities
### Property & Land Management
* Maintain approximately 20 acres of natural landscape.
* Mow, trim, prune, and manage vegetation.
* Assist with fire prevention and defensible space requirements.
* Maintain trails, gardens, outdoor classrooms, fencing, and natural play areas.
* Monitor irrigation systems and water use.
* Coordinate seasonal property maintenance.
### Building & Facilities Maintenance
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and grounds.
* Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects.
* Monitor HVAC systems and building operations.
* Maintain playgrounds and outdoor learning environments.
* Conduct regular safety inspections.
* Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
### Operations
* Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
* Maintain equipment and tools.
* Keep maintenance records and inventories.
* Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety requirements.
* Assist with campus improvement projects and new construction as needed.
* Respond promptly to facility issues and emergencies.
## Qualifications
* Experience in facilities management, property maintenance, ranch management, landscaping, or a related field.
* Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely.
* General knowledge of building systems and repair.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
* Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience maintaining large rural properties.
* Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care, or land stewardship.
* Experience with playground safety or school facilities.
* Familiarity with California fire prevention and defensible space practices.
* Experience supervising vendors and contractors.
