We are a busy local print and mail production facility, located in West Sacramento seeking an experienced and skilled Printing Press Offset Feeder to join our team! As an Offset Feeder, you will be responsible for preparing and loading sheets onto our high-speed printing press, ensuring precise and efficient production of our products. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload sheets onto the printing press, ensuring accurate and precise alignment
- Feed sheets onto the press, monitoring paper quality and density to ensure optimal print results
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the press running smoothly and efficiently
- Collaborate with the printing team to resolve any issues or defects that may arise during production
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Work effectively in a team environment, providing support to other departments as needed
- Meet productivity and quality standards
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as an Offset Feeder or in a similar role in the printing industry
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
- Basic knowledge of printing processes and terminology
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sheetfed offset printing presses
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and print defect detection
- Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to operate scanners, printers, etc.)
- Experience working in a team environment with a focus on customer service
