Hello, I am selling our nice 2001 Harley Davidson Shiners edition, basically same as Ultra Classic. We have used this as our family Harley for the last few years, and it has been a great bike. Never broke down, always starts right up. I have done a full recent service on it. All three holes oil change, engine oil, trans oil, primary oil all changed with synthetic Lucus oil. All new brake pads front and rear, both front rotors replaced. I also installed a new rear car tire on it. The car tire makes more contact on road to improve handling and braking., front tire is newer, sidecar tire is worn a bit in center, but that actually makes better road contact when center wears down a bit.
John Sweet easy steer kit. This kit is a must for a Harley side car set up. It takes the front wheel and fender and moves it forward 4" and that is the exact distance needed to make your bike easy to steer and handle better. With out this kit it is a struggle to steer and is hard on your back and shoulders. This kit is a game changer and makes sidecar way easier to handle. Way better than the rake Harley offered, the adjustable tree rake only moves wheel forward 1.5" and you need it 4" forward like this one has. This easy steer kit cost shy of $1000 and is worth every penny of that. Also has steering dampener that helps too.
57k miles, always well maintained, previous owner was a Harley mechanic. Just inspected cam chain tensioner and it is in very good condition, no need to check for another 12k miles.
Heated grips, very nice when cold out and to help old hands feel better
Easy to use throttle lock to give your right hand a brake
Chrome luggage racks on rear trunk, both side bags, and back of sidecar. Lots of storage behind sidecar seat.
Very comfortable seat, but I have a sport seat with driver backrest if you prefer that set up.
Bluetooth adaptor that allows you to play music through stock stereo. stock stereo has volume adjustment on the handgrip area.
88ci carburetor stock motor with upgraded slip-on exhaust mufflers, sounds great, but not obnoxious.
This is a great bike that is ready for a long ride right now. I have priced checked myself and this is one of the cheapest Harleys with factory style sidecar for sale, so no silly lowball offers please. FYI Harley stopped offering the sidecar as an option in 2011 so a Harley with factory sidecar will only go up in value.
Feel free to call or text. (nine one six) five zero eight 1306 Danny Clean title in hand, current registration
Not really interested in trades, but if you are going offer me a trade make sure your trade is worth more than $13k, I am a classic car collector, but I really do not need any more cars at this time.
