Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dimensional inspection and visual quality evaluation of high-precision machined parts and assemblies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet strict customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts and assemblies using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
• Utilize advanced inspection equipment such as CMMs, optical comparators, and vision systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Accurately complete inspection documentation, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain records per AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal procedures, and industry standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Support internal audits and customer or third-party inspections as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality or inspection preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection techniques.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, medical, or semiconductor industry standards is a plus.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and inspection equipment.
• CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality management systems.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
