Job Description
We are seeking experienced Residential Painters to join a growing home manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing residential interior and exterior surfaces while ensuring a high-quality appearance and craftsmanship. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment where teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
Important: Team members must be willing to support other departments as business needs require. While painting will be your primary responsibility, you may assist with general production, assembly, framing support, material handling, finishing work, or other manufacturing-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and cleaning.
- Apply primer, paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Perform interior and exterior residential painting on walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and other surfaces.
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards and appearance requirements are met.
- Mix and match paints and finishes according to specifications.
- Maintain painting equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and other departments to support production goals.
- Assist in other departments when needed, including assembly, finishing, material handling, framing support, or general production tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of residential painting experience.
- Experience with spray guns, brushes, rollers, and paint preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to cross-train and assist in departments outside of painting as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential construction or homebuilding.
- Experience with drywall repair, texture, and finishing.
- Experience using airless paint sprayers and finishing equipment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic construction skills and familiarity with common hand and power tools.
