Peavey Special 112 Teal Stripe Combo Guitar Amp – 1992 to 1995 - Peavey Footswitch Optional $50
If you see this ad, I still have the item. I will not reply to frivolous emails. Send me your name and phone number and I will reply promptly.
This amp is the big brother to the Bandit. The amp is in good condition, working and loud!! I have several amps and no need for this one. So I prefer to let it go to someone who can use it. The original speaker was blown (which was a 4 ohm). So I have installed a Scorpion 8 ohm - hence the 100 watt rating. So unless you plan on playing at "11", the speaker should be fine. Otherwise, go out and buy yourself an Eminence Texas Heat 4 ohm speaker which is rated for 150 watts. Also, the back lower plate was missing. So I cut out a piece of 1/4" plywood. You can easily install a bigger piece if you like.
One of the more popular Special variations is known as the "Teal Stripe" or "Blue Stripe" due to a blue horizontal stripe below the control panel. This version of the Solo Series Special 112 added a Supersat control.
Since the amp has a single 8 ohm speaker, you can add a jack plate to the back panel, wire across the speaker, and add ONE 8 ohm external cab. I have a Peavey 112SX listed here on CL. You can use this cab or something similar.
