This is the famous Manuel Ramirez 1912 classical guitar. A historical classical guitar replica made by luthier Wolfgang Jellinghaus in Germany, a tribute to the original 1912 Manuel Ramirez built by Santos Hernandez that Andres Segovia played for the first 25 years of his career. The original is now on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
All details of the original have been carefully reproduced with the exception of the materials used for the back and sides – for this model, luthier Wolfgang Jellinghaus has chosen gorgeous flamed maple for the back & sides.
A very impressive concert guitar, and a meticulously well produced tribute to one of history’s most iconic instruments.
The guitar is in excellent condition with some cosmetic play wear like finger nail scratches. Comes with Metro hardshell case as pictured.
