Vintage: 1896 -1904 Howard W. Foote took over his father’s musical instrument distribution company at the death of his father John Howard Foote & Co. in 1896. The company was reincorporated under the sons name Howard W. Foote & Co. in that same year. The new company was based in Chicago. In 1904 the company went into voluntary liquidation and the business be closed. I don’t know when this guitar was constructed, but I think it is safe to say that it was sold between 1896 & 1904
