US made 1996 Fender P-Bass
You don't often see these...
This is a fretless bass with factory inlaid lines on the "fretboard". (some have mistaken them for frets)
This instrument is for those of us wanting the fretless experience but aren't upright bass
players with flawless intonation.
Currently set up with flatwound strings, this is an amazing player with the "piano tone" you only get with a fretless P-bass.
Excellent condition with just a few minor dings (see pics). It's somewhere between mint and relic, so it looks played but
is as playable as it can be. This doesn't have to be a protected closet-queen.
Authentic Fender pick-up and bridge covers have been added to replicate the original P-basses from the 1950/60s.
(This is a nice touch that can easily be removed, but add to the vintage vibe of this bass)
No other modifications made. (Original pick-up and tuners)
Oh, yeah, nice vintage-style knurled dome knobs added.
Includes a very rare Fender Cordura gig bag purchased from former Fender employee (Cost me $200 - I saw one on Reverb for $400)
These are EXTREMELY rare and were made by Levi. They are among the best gig bags Fender has ever offered.
It's in near mint condition - only used for storage so it hasn't been beat-up on the road.
