Here’s a vintage gem from my collection: One of only 76 resonator banjos that were made in 1976 as part of Martin’s first-ever limited edition release to commemorate America's Bicentennial.
It has a bright, airy tone and ample projection that’s perfect for studio recording or your local bluegrass jam. I bought it as a birth year instrument during an Avett Brothers phase, but my clawhammer skills never quite caught up to my dreams so it's ready for the next owner who can actually play it and enjoy a cool piece of history.
Excellent overall condition with no cracks and only a few tiny nicks, some finish swirling, checking, mild wear, etc. Beautiful herringbone centered on the circumference of the resonator; 13 pearl star inlays on the fretboard and a single pearl eagle inlay on the headstock.
Reasonable offers considered, cash only. Comes with hardshell case and original certificate of ownership.
