I commissioned this 12-string electric guitar as an exact replica of the Rickenbacker 381/12V69, custom-ordered and built to my specifications at the Curt Dalion factory. It features a hand-carved figured maple archtop and back with a semi-acoustic hollow arched body construction that delivers rich undertones and enhanced acoustic response. The guitar has a 24¾” scale length annd an 1 11/16” nut width and weighs 12b and is equipped with genuine-style Rickenbacker pickups that produce the signature 12-string Rick jangle tone. Classic hardware includes the correct bridge, tailpiece, control plate, and trapeze-style tailpiece detailing, and it is available in iconic Fireglo, Jetglo, or natural Mapleglo finishes. The original Rickenbacker 381/12V69 design traces back to 1957, and in later production years the 381V69 was made in roughly equal numbers as both 6-string and 12-string versions. This replica captures every detail of the original 381/12V69 with exceptional craftsmanship from the respected Curt Dalion factory at an incredible value.
