Solar Installation Supervisor (North Valley) Sacramento, CA
-Responsible for all technical and safety aspects of PV installations
-Train and mentor volunteers, job trainees, and staff as assigned in solar installations and other construction -related activities
-Lead installations of solar electric systems with crews of volunteers and/or job trainees
-Ensure that all solar installations are installed according to GRID Alternatives safety and quality standards
-Assist in warehouse and tool organization, fleet maintenance, construction logistics, and systems implementation
-Conduct site visits to screen potential sites for solar access and safety issues
-Design and engineer residential solar electric systems
-Other job duties include answering homeowner and volunteer questions, talking to media and participating in events
-Experience to include work in both residential, commercial, roof and ground mounts
-Experience in and ability to coach, mentor, and lead a construction crew
-Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
-Ability to relate to and respect diverse populations
-Proficient with computers and programs such as SalesForce, Gmail, etc.
-Passion for environmental justice, sustainability, affordable housing, the environment or just generally grounded and interested in making the world a better place
This is a full-time position, compensation commensurate with experience.
