Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m. / Saturday 10:00a.m - 4:00 p.m.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Leasing Consultant 2+ years of experience in property management or a related field, that will be responsible for assisting in the leasing for a multi-million dollar residential property.  The position reports directly to the Community Manager and is responsible for showing and leasing apartments and condominiums to prospective residents and supports property's marketing plan.

Pay Range: Depends on Experience

Schedule;  Tuesday - Friday 8:30 A.M.  - 5:00 P.M./ Saturday 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

Primary Responsibilities

• Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit
• Responsible for insuring the "model" apartments and target apartments are ready for show;
• Responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly manner
• Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies
• Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques
• Knowledgeable of current market conditions.
• Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property
• Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material
• Responsible for "shopping" competitive properties
• Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals
• Develop and maintain an on-going resident retention program under direction of Community Manager
• Responsible to play an active role in the renewal process
• Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files
• Other duties as assigned by management

Do you fit the Bill

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of two years in an office environment
• Property management experience preferred
• Proficient typing skills; 35WPM +
• Intermediate in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Thorough knowledge of the operations of a residential community including conformance to budget standards and the day-to-day operations with maintenance, residents and housekeeping functions
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, employees and supervisors regarding property operations or personnel issues to ensure the smooth property operation
• Ability to analyze financial performance relative to budget and historical levels to ensure targets are achieved
• Must be a strong team leader, with the ability to work across functional groups in a team environment, and assist with training and development of property team
• Must be proactive and able to prioritize workload, manage challenging situations and meet deadlines
• Must have knowledge of standard residential lease provisions, Fair Housing guidelines, and other tenant-landlord laws
