JFC Electric, Inc. is looking for a Assistant Project manager to play a key role on our Projects team. We are a well established Commercial Electrical Contractor located in Roseville with over 30 years' experience in the industry. You will work closely with our Sr. Project Manager from start to finish on each project. We are a fast pace busy office, running multiple projects at a time, the ability to multi task and remain organized will be a must!
Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities: Send purchase orders to vendors for lighting and switchgear packages, request submittals. Correspond with customers throughout submittal process. Look for items that may conflict with project timeline, be proactive to solve issues before they occur. Communicate with the field, be their support person for schedules, shipments, changes orders, RFI's. Review plan revisions, determine cost impact, prepare change orders, submit to customers for approvals. Approve cost codes on time cards and vendor invoices. Monitor job budgets to keep project on track.
2 years construction management experience required, Electrical construction experience a plus, field experience even better
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Must have strong computer skills and proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook
Construction management software experience a plus (We use Computerease)
CAD knowledge a plus
Be self-motivated and responsible
Must be an effective communicator with good verbal and written skills.
