compensation: Compensation depends upon experience and availability. Starts between $15 and $17 an hour.
employment type: part-time

Please read all the way through, as this ad is very specific in what we are looking for and instructions for contact. You will be replacing a rock star employee, targeting the second or third week of January to start, so attention to detail is an absolute MUST. If you are just sending out random resumes, we will not answer your email.

Unique employment opportunity: A medical practice in Sacramento (Arden-Arcade area) is in need of the perfect fit- a part-time admin/medical assistant (does not need to be certified). You can work mostly from home, as long as you have a good internet connection, a reliable laptop and reliable transportation. One day per week, changing possibly to one or two days bi-weekly you will be at the office from 9-5. This position is not your typical medical admin position. We need a responsible person who can manage their time wisely, and who can work both alone without much supervision, and together with the doctor on patient days.

From home (or wherever you can be online), you will be responsible for scheduling patients, answering and returning calls/emails/texts/faxes, and filling out forms, (Adobe) and processing paperwork in a timely fashion. You will be expected to maintain a level of professionalism at all times, especially with the fluid work environment.

In-office duties include some front desk duties, including answering and returning calls/emails/texts/faxes, checking in patients, and assisting with the doctor using an electronic health record system. You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with attorneys, providers and patients through emails, phone calls and faxes. Attention to detail is a MUST.

We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish), professional, customer service oriented, can multi-task, and has *strong computer skills*. The ability to navigate the internet and applications on the computer with ease is necessary. PERSONAL INTEGRITY IN THIS POSITION IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE. The right candidate MUST be able to be organized and use their time wisely, and be able to train at least a week or so in the Foothills area with the office manager, to get a feel for the processes of the position. You will need to pass a background check as well.

We are looking to hire immediately. Experience in healthcare and/or personal injury law is not required, but would help tremendously. This is a part time position of roughly 30 hours a week, depending upon case load.

Please note: Medical Assistants who are looking for an office where they can gain the usual MA experience will not be happy in this position. It's largely administrative, and you will not perform many of the tasks you were taught. Please keep that in mind.

Please include your resume and any references in your response to this ad. If we are interested in talking with you, we will contact you. We will then send you an application to fill out, and if you look to be a fit, we will contact you for further discussion. We look forward to talking with you.
