I have been boarding predominantly retired horses after a career in
training and breeding and been riding for 70 years. The old timers are my specialty
these days but rarely advertise, most of my horses come through word of
mouth or friends.
I have 5-1/2 acres of irrigated pasture in Newcastle about halfway
between Lincoln and Auburn. We feed alfalfa twice a day and currently
have a few openings. I charge $275 per month and recently have taken in
working horses for R&R or their owner is going through rehab themselves. Most are someone old friend that has come to the end of their time and they share a pasture with several other old timers. There is a half-acre of woods, which is their favorite when not just grazing.
