We are rehoming two female guinea pigs who are gentle, curious, and easy to love. They make wonderful companions and are great for families, first-time pet owners, or anyone who enjoys small, affectionate pets.
❤️ About the Girls
• Temperament: Friendly, social, and getting more confident with gentle daily handling
• Age: Young (with plenty of years ahead!)
• Lifespan: Guinea pigs typically live 5–7 years, sometimes longer with excellent care
🏡 Care Requirements
Guinea pigs are simple to care for but do need consistency, attention, and a clean environment to stay healthy and happy.
Housing:
• A spacious cage (minimum 7.5 sq ft for two, more is better)
• Soft bedding such as paper bedding or fleece liners
• Hideouts so they feel safe
Diet:
• Unlimited fresh hay (their main food!)
• Daily fresh vegetables rich in Vitamin C
• Quality guinea pig pellets
• Clean, fresh water at all times
Cleaning:
• Spot-clean daily
• Full cage cleaning 1–2 times per week
✋ Handling & Socialization
These two girls are becoming more comfortable with human interaction and can be very affectionate when handled correctly.
• Always lift them gently and support their entire body
• Spend time with them daily to build trust
• They recognize voices, enjoy treats, and can become very tame with patience
Guinea pigs are naturally shy at first, but they domesticate beautifully—they learn your routine, respond to your presence, and often “talk” with little squeaks and purrs
