Vivitar SL-2 Optical Trigger for Speedlight, Mint Condition - $10 (Elk Grove)

For speedlights that do not already have built-in remote radio or optical trigger capability, attaching this Vivitar SL-2 optical trigger to the speedlight allows the connected speedlight to be triggered remotely by a separate flash source, as long as the two lights are in the optical line of sight and within effective triggering distance of 30 feet. Electrical connectivity can be achieved by hot shoe contact between the flash unit and SL-2 or with a flash synch cord between the two. No additional batteries are needed. The mounting hole on the bottom flange lets you attach the flash/SL-2 unit to a stand with a ¼” threaded tip. With this Vivitar SL-2, you could thus have remote, off-camera flash at a very low cost.
