The Sacramento Do It Yourself Classic Car Club is dedicated to the maintenance, preservation
and restoration of all types of Classic, Vintage and Antique vehicles by their owners. As such we have attempted to provide a facility for those owners to do anything from change their own oil to do a frame off restoration. We are not a public automotive repair shop, as such we are a private club of like minded individuals who share similar interests and are open only to members and their families. Use of the facilities is by appointment only although we do have regularly scheduled hours of operation. This is to avoid conflicts in space usage.
We are a 10 year old and growing organization striving to help all automotive enthusiasts. Whether your interests are classics, vintage, hot rodding, racing, or just a love of automobiles, there is something for you. Our purpose is hopefully as much social and a gathering place for enthusiasts as it is a place to work on your vehicle.
What we provide:
A 16200 sq. ft. modern auto shop environment, Wi Fi access, lounge area with cable TV and coffee bar. 2 Rotary lifts, 12’ x 24’ work stalls, most tools and equipment to do anything from an oil change to an overhaul or frame off restoration is available. Also, a modern paint booth is available. Additionally vehicle storage as well as open secure storage for parts or donor vehicles. Parts discounts available to members from most auto parts stores., off site sandblast, powder coating services are also available to members at substantial discounts.
Each workspace includes a work bench with storage and the use of basic tune up and diagnostic equipment. Floor jacks, jack stands, creepers, fender covers, air hose hook up and 220volt power.
Vintage engine analyzing equipment, engine hoists, engine stands, welders, and media blasting equipment, brake lathe, distributor machine and many other tools and equipment are available for use or rental. If you do not have your own tools available we can provide the for you.
