I am 50yrs old and I have Muscular Dystrophy. I am looking for a female live in caregiver to start as soon as possible. I live in Rodeo which is a small town near Pinole/Hercules in the bay area. I live with my mother. This position is for nights and mornings. I am looking for someone to be here from 8:30pm to 9am with 2 days a week off. This shift would include toileting at 8:30pm, 12am and between 7:30-8am. I do this in the bed with a bed pan. I also would need someone capable of transferring me from my power chair to the bed via a Hoyer lift. These duties equate to 3hrs worth of work.
Other duties can include light cleaning and keeping your room clean. Prefer you have your own vehicle but not required as my van will only be for my use. No smokers please. This will be for free room and board plus a small monthly salary. Some caregiving experience is preferred.
This position is ideal for someone who doesn’t want to pay rent. Your days are free. My mom is 84 years old, and we are a quiet peaceful loving family. During the day I have other caregivers that help me as I am non weight bearing.
