It's YOUR house that you pull up to every day. You want a one-and-done install you can look at and be happy with. Not all installers are created equal, you can call 10 companies to put up cameras and you'll absolutely get 10 different types of installs. Not only will the physical install vary, but also the consultation and general experience with the installer (rude, nice, pleasant, talkative, smelley :-) . I'm not saying there are not-so-good installers out there, but would rather encourage the homeowner to dig a little deeper and know who is coming out to drill all these holes in your house :-)
I can't tell you how many times people have said they called me for the job because they didn't want their install to look like their neighbors "professionally" installed system showing wires or thick conduit. I have over 20 years of experience installing wires in a variety of homes from tough ones 100 years old, to very large custom designed builds. My specialty is residential, however, I also install for small business' such as restaurants, boutiques, shops, warehouses, small offices, churches, clubs and more.
Just like installers aren't created equal, neither are the installs. What looks like an easy install can easily be something more involved once started. When faced with a challenge, I tend to roll up my sleeves, put the thinking cap on and dive in, not bail on a job leaving a customer upset and abandoned. I have the tools, experience and drive to safely get past just about any surprise obstacle.
Unlike hiring a furniture mover, I don't want you to simply show me where you want the cameras and just install them there. Instead, I actually take the time to talk to you about your security concerns, assess the property, consider the amount of cameras you have, the type of cameras you have, be mindful of your budget, offer my personal suggestions, present options and then ultimately putting the final decisions in your hands. The last thing I want is for you to not be happy with the camera location after I leave. After all cameras are in and working, we'll discuss the captured views and adjust each one to your satisfaction.
