The System x3100 M5 server is a compact, cost-effective, single-processor tower or rack-mountable (5U) server that has been optimized to provide outstanding availability, manageability, and performance features for small-to-medium-sized businesses, retail stores, or distributed enterprises.
The system includes features that are not typically seen in this class of system, such as standard, embedded RAID 0 and RAID 1, remote control capabilities even when the machine is powered off, and Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) on processor and memory. It also supports hot-swap redundant power supplies and hot-swap disk drives.
This M5 system (comes with the Digi International Controller and 8-port octopus, see below) came out of a server rack with the mounting bracket on the front/top side. This system was decommissioned from clean server room after 4 years from new out of the box and still has plenty of life with newer hard drives. These were used with Linux OS for FOSSEE which powered an international hotel chain. This rackable M5 system has three 500GB drives striped RAID 1E @700GB and has 16GB RAM. The keys seen in picture of the back, are for the locks on the side panels. Windows 12R was freshly installed on this M5 system and I've lost the password, so if you can hack it, you've got what you want for $200 less licensing fee. This would make a great server for Crypto Mining and if running VMware, several coins at the same time.

This is an excellent server for a real estate office, local hotel (offering VOD, room service, easy checkout, long distance, parking, etc.), small business where different server services are needed, or even good for mining crypto.
