It is much cheaper to own your own tank than it is to rent one.
You have to be very careful when you buy a used tank. Some people sell tanks that are rental tanks and when you go to fill them, the company will confiscate the tank. I only deal with a company that has all customer owned tanks. I had this tank filled myself, so I know it is good to go.
If you go to the welding store today and buy the same full tank, you will pay $656.12.
I inherited these tanks from my father. I took them to the welding store, paid to have the recertified and paid to have them filled to make selling them easier.
Larger tanks are much cheaper to fill by the cubic foot than smaller size tanks.
