RARE 1936 FORD MODEL 68 4-DOOR CONVERTIBLE TRUNK SEDAN with very few produced. This Model is similar to the Phaeton, but had Roll-up windows that have been upgraded to Power windows. This model and Phaeton were among the most sought-after models for the 1936 year.
The "B" pillars allow the use of the Power Windows to get the Closed Car experience, they are REMOVABLE for the Top Down experience.
The owner states that this car was originally sold in Southern California and spent it's first years in that area. The owner purchased it from a person in Pleasanton CA around 1980 and that he had purchased it from an owner in Oregon that had stored it in a barn for many years.
After almost 30 years the '36 underwent restoration and completed in 2013. The '36 has been driven very little since restoration as the Odometer shows only 1516 miles.
This example is painted in the original Cordoba Tan and is now powered by a Ford Mustang 5.0 V-8 Engine and an upgraded Exhaust System.
To handle the power, it's equipped with a LINCOLN TRANSMISSION AND REAR END, MUSTANG II front Suspension and Steering. The car has DISK BRAKES on all four wheels and has VINTAGE AIR CONDITIONING.
